By the end of the 1920s copper was made known in the USA, copper pipes replaced wood pipes. Copper replaced large amounts of pipes imported from japan due to the lack of quality, quick corrosion and rusting from recycled metal making copper a popular household pipe, they even used lead before copper became popular.
