On August 4th

On August 4th ,1944, everyone in secret Annex is arrested. Someone may have betrayed them. They are deported first to the westerbork transit camp, and then on to Auschwitz. Otto Frank is the only person from the Secret Annex to survive the camps. The others all died. Anne was also arrested with all the others. In the Auschwitz concentration camp, Anne end up in the same barracks as her mother and sister. Later, Anne and Margot are taken to Bergen-Belsen. Anne dies there in February 1945, at the age of 15. Also on that warm, sunny day, that morning, investigators turn up at the premises at 263 Prinsengracht in amsterdam. They go up to the first floor, where the people helping the group in hiding work. The detectives question Victor Kugler and search the building with him. The inspection includes the room with the hinged bookcase and the hiding place behind it is discovered.

Around a dozen new eyewitnesses were in 2011, mainly friends and former classmates of Anne and Margot Frank, These individuals talked about their own experiences before and during the ar and provided a more in-depth look at the life of the Frank family. Bella van der Wilk-Kohlwey during her interview in 2011, she was a classmate of Margot Frank at the Municipal Lyceum for girls.They belonged to the same rowing club.
